Hull City face Stoke City in the second round of the Carabao Cup this evening, looking to make it through to round three for the first time in six years.
Fresh from Saturday's stunning win over Manchester United on the opening day of the Premier League season, the Tigers will be aiming to keep their momentum going.
The pair met twice in the Championship last season, with a spiky affair in the Potteries ending with City 2-1 winners, but both clubs were slapped with fines for some post-match shenanigans. Mark Robins' Potters were victors at the MKM Stadium on New Year's Day.
Since then, their respective trajectories have taken on very different paths, with the Tigers winning promotion and Stoke slipping down the Championship again.
