GREENVILLE, SC – North Carolina's basketball season ended on Thursday night in the first round of the NCAA Tournament with an 82-78 overtime loss to Virginia Commonwealth.
The Tar Heels' largest lead reached 19 points in the second half, but VCU overcoming it makes this the biggest blown lead in the history of NCAA Tournament first-round games.
UNC concludes its season at 24-9, the Rams (28-7) move on to face Illinois on Saturday in the round of 32.
