North Carolina's search for its new basketball coach continues, and the school is, if anything, at least one day closer to naming a successor to Hubert Davis.

Davis was fired earlier this week after five seasons. And, with no member of the Carolina family in position to take over, UNC will bring in a verifiably outsider at some point within the next couple of weeks.
