Morris forced to concede a FK about 20 yards out. Louza steps up and looks to deceive Brynn by going for the corner he's stood closest too. Brynn diving but it's wide of the post.
Boro have the lead and are enjoying more of the ball but haven't created much since the goal. Watford have had a few chances.
Lucky escape for Boro. Cross towards the back post where only Kjerrumgaard lurks. It's beyond him, but he rescues it and as Ayling scampers across to get back to him he takes it back onto his left and looks to bend one far post. It's only narrowly wide with Brynn beaten too.
Watford have had chances since the Boro goal.
Looks like Boro should be expecting a defensive Watford today. Most teams do, but given Watford have nothing to play for this season, the hope would have been they just went for it.
But a look at the comments on Watford's team announcement, the suggestion is that they're going to be defensive.
Looks like a back five, with someone describing it as a more defensive team than the one they put against Man City away in the cup.
Boro will have to find a way to break it down.
First things first, Middlesbrough need to win today. With Ipswich and Southampton playing in midweek, even a draw would be insufficient, given the goal difference swing.
But if Boro do win, they put the pressure on. Ipswich also kick-off early. They're away at West Brom. Because of that goal difference, Boro really need Ipswich to drop points today.
If both win, Ipswich will stay three points clear with only three points for Boro left to play for. And with ipswich's far superior goal difference, it will be top two hopes over unless there is a remarkable scoreline either here or Wrexham.
Southampton not in league action today. They play Man City in the FA Cup semi final later today. They're currently level on points with Boro and host Ipswich in what will be their game in hand on Tuesday.
Millwall only drew with Leicester last night. That moved them four above Boro, but that will be just one point if Boro win today.
Play-offs, as we've said a few times, and even Kim Hellberg has acknowledged, looks the most likely. But, if results go Boro's way today and on Tuesday night, suddenly it will be all to play for on the final day of the season next weekend.
Four changes for Boro then. Fair to say that's even more than we were expecting.
Bangura, Gilbert, Hansen and Sarmiento come in for Fry, Targett, Browne and Conway.
Looks like a 4-2-3-1. Gilbert will partner Morris in midfield. One of Sarmiento or Hansen will play as the ten, you'd assume.
The four who are out all make make the bench, so no new injury concerns, just resting players. Castledine also back in the squad, as expected.
Boro XI: Brynn, Brittain, Ayling, Malanda, Bangura, Morris, Gilbert, Whittaker, Hansen, Sarmiento, Strelec.
Subs: Wildsmith, Fry, Edmundson, Targett, Browne, Silvera, Castledine, Conway, Sene.
Hello and welcome to today's live match-day blog.
It's the final home game of the season (but probably not). Millwall only drew last night and Ipswich have a tricky trip to West Brom today. If they don't get a win there, and Boro do get a win today, suddenly, Boro's top-two aspirations have legs again.
It's still a long shot though, it's fair to say. Which makes it more likely we will have another home game this season.
But whether it's to keep top two hopes alive or to try and secure a home game in the second leg of the play-off semi-finals, there's still plenty of reason for Boro to want to win today.
We'll have live updates, up to and during the match, right here.
